Filming Work and Play at Wintour's Leap

On Wednesday and Thursday last week I was in the Wye Valley. Me and Ed met up with Jerry at Wintour's in the morning on Wednesday and heaved a load of climbing kit and filming gear (along with an un-manned, flying drone video camera) to the base of the Wintour's classic Freedom. Jerry is an accomplished film maker and was interested in filming ascents of this and Zelda.

After many anxious moments when gusts of wind punched Jerry's very expensive and very fragile "quad-copter" during filming, Jerry touched it down after the last take of the day was in the can.

The following day, with the forecast given stronger winds, further filming work was put on hold and me and Ed returned to Wintour's Leap by our selves and Ed to jump on the classic Hyena Cage, on Go Wall. What an incredible route this is and wholly worth it's introduction in the guide as "A heavy weight block buster...". Pat Littlejohn never fails to impress...
