Rock Climbing In Tremadog
After finishing work on the Gold DofE expedition I hooked up with my old mate Nick Gillet who live just outside of Llanberis. The following day we headed down to Tremadog to stretch our arms on some routes there. I kicked off with Holloway in two pitches, then Nick blasted up Hey, and I got on the classic Falcon - amazing route after the slightly worrying start is put away, go and do it if you haven't! It was getting pretty hot and we decided to hunt out some shade. As our intended route was busy, we climbed Grim Wall Direct in two lovely pitches to finish. Top day out.
Rock Climbing In Ogwen
The following day we met up again and headed to the Ogwen Vally to get on some routes in the mountains as it was another scorcher. Shade was needed, so we opted for the beautifully set Clogwyn y Tarw and we climbed The Trouble With Lichen, Yob Route, Hippy Invasion and finished with the beast that is Hereford's Crack. Cracking afternoon out. Then it was party time as it was Dave Talbot's 30th birthday bash, a bunk house had been secured and a long night was on the cards.
