I was out in the Penally area with Dave today. He is down with his wife on holiday and as she was out sailing racing for the day, he (being a climber) wanted to get some routes in! After a drizzly start, the day quickly turned into a scorcher. We started at Giltar Slabs, with the classic route Giltar Slab, then Zawn Corner. Dave was keen to get on the sharp end and wanted to get back on Giltar Slab. A good competent lead later, we packed up and headed over to Crescent Slab, where Dave led the quality route The Crescent. I finished off by taking us to our last abseil of the day, down into Overlap Zawn and climbing Wet and Pantin'. Great to meet you Dave and all the best for your climbing in the future!
