Climb Pembroke's Blog

We want you to see what we've been up to here at Climb Pembroke, and get a taste of who we are and what to expect if you come Sea Cliff Climbing with us here in Pembrokeshire on one of our Rock Climbing Courses or Family Rock Climbing days out

One star and a limpet later...

Sarah-Jane (a friend from Undercover Rock in Bristol) came to stay with us yesterday and today we headed out to St. Govan's for some climbing fun. We have both climbed a lot around the St. Govan's area, So we decided to look at some of the obscurer routes we had neglected to investigate before. I started with Panzer 2, as a friend had told me that it was worth while (it was). S-J then jumped on Bomb Bay (a really nice route that would be deserving of a star, if hadn't been for the jenga style blocks stacked in it's top groove). We then headed over to 50ft Wall, as neither of us had climbed there before. I climbed What a Come Down (awkward gear and awkward moves) and then we finished with Crab Catcher (a thrutchy start followed by an ok finish). In doing our four routes we had acquired a grand total of 1 star (and that one was questionable), As we topped out on our last route, S-J burst out laughing as she pointed at a limpet that had attached it's self onto my shoulder during the route! Poor over-all quality routes today but a three star day of banter and laughs! We finished off our day with a lovely meal in the St.Govan's in with Corinne, Romany and Gethin. Life is good :-)
