The Left Wall of Dinas Cromlech

I've always been inspired by the old school climbers. Joe Brown, Don Whillans, Robin Smith and many others. I think what amazed me the most was the boldness that many of them had. It was a golden era when many of the finest lines on British rock were prises for the taking and they fell to the ones that had the technical ability, strength and ambition. Of course these climbers had far less safety equipment that we are blessed with but that didn't stop their desire to overcome. Yes, the odd aid move was used - but if you have ever had to aid your way up and out of a "tight spot" then you will know that these techniques can be just as gripping as free climbing them... Here is a short film that I have stumbled upon that I really love! The old school term for a "Wad" was a "Tiger" - I'll probably never achieve the Wad accolade but would love to become a Tiger!
