Today I was out with Helena and Christy from Bristol. They were in Pembrokeshire for a road trip holiday and wanted a day out rock climbing. Helena had done some outdoor climbing before but it was the first time for Christy. We went to the Penally area of sea cliffs, set up an abseil and each slid down the rope to the bottom of Fisherman's Point. After climbing a few routes there, we scrambled along the low-tide beach to get to Rusty Slab, where we climbed the brilliant South West Ridge. Back to the bags we decided to go and look at a huge blow hole that (via an extremely exposed, free-hanging abseil) gives access to a beautiful in-accessible beach. A roped scramble later we were back at the bags and feeling well traveled from the day. Nice one guys, I really enjoyed our day out together!
