Sea Cliff Climbing in December

Yes it's December and it's cold, but not too cold. Brett came down to me for late morning and we jumped in my van and booted it off to Manorbier. I've been interested in the Skrinkle Haven - Lydstep area for a while now. I had also managed to blag Brett to come out and explore some areas we hadn't been to.

We down climbed to get to the front of Skomar Tower, where Brett led off on the striking and very solid corner of Toledo to belay at the half way ledge. When I arrived at the belay and looked up I wasn't impressed. The wall above looked very vegetated, the cracks were choked with turf and plants, so I traversed off left to finish. An abseil latter we were on the beautiful beach, eying up the routes on the East Face and Recess Face. We finished by climbing Abracadabra, a route well worth seeking out.
