Back out climbing with Brett today and Pen y Foel was our crag of choice. A North Pembroke crag that is seldom visited but has some great routes on solid igneous rock and a sunny south facing aspect. After a pleasant 30 minute walk along the coastal path, with beautiful views of Ramsey Island, we arrived and threw our abseil rope down the crag. I led off on Hondo and then Brett led The Sackett Brand. After that I turned my attention to a fine looking corner climb named The War Party and proceeded to get spanked on the crux. After a couple of rests I managed to get it together and finish the route. You can't win 'em all. Lovely afternoon out though and feeling very warm for mid October.
